As an interdisciplinary artist, I make bold art that is spiritual, political, emotional and nuanced.
Poetry, theatre, movement and creative non-fiction essays are some of the mediums I best express myself with.
My work is a reflection of the themes which have shaped my perspective: joy, love, decolonization, liberation, feminism, fatness and grief.
I've created, produced and performed in five different hour-long performance art pieces which combine spoken word, movement, comedy and live music.
People often say there's a fierce power in my spoken word performances. And I kinda get it. I write on subjects others might avoid and only ever perform what is needed in the moment.
Through creative nonfiction and braided essays, I explore the contours of my own lived experience. I like to use storytelling to understand the complexity of the world around me.
